According to the CDC, one in 68 children in the United States has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and approximately one in six children has some type of developmental disability. These disabilities break all racial and economic barriers, often leaving the child feeling misunderstood and the parents frustrated.
The services The Faison Center provides to families are largely funded by school districts, Medicaid, SSI, private insurance and private payers. However, these funds cover only a portion of the true cost of providing the empirically proven strategies used throughout our programs. It is only through philanthropic gifts that Faison can make exceptional progress possible every day and fulfill our vision for the future.
