Center-Based ABA

Our Center-Based ABA At A Glance

The Center-Based ABA Program is designed for school-aged clients whose families have opted to homeschool their children with autism or related disabilities. While enrolled in the program, clients receive ABA therapy in 1:1 or small group settings. Instruction focuses on improving social and communication skills while decreasing interfering behaviors. Individualized Support Plans are created based on assessments and parent input to meet the needs of each individual child.

About ABA Therapy

The Faison Center integrates applied behavior analysis (ABA) throughout every individual’s experience here. Applied academic, social, communicative, motor, and coping skills are the primary areas of focus. One central theme to our services is the belief that performance issues result from the individual’s previous history with instruction—how it is designed, presented, and reinforced. We approach skill-building and behavioral issues comprehensively, taking into account the underlying causes of interfering behavior, as well as what motivates the individual. Faison’s comprehensive ABA approach also means that the procedures we use are based on the science of human behavior and learning, drawn from empirical research, and carried out in a way that can be described to parents and other important figures in the client’s life.

We emphasize intensive intervention with a robust and flexible staff-to-client ratio and opportunity for group activities to promote socialization when possible.
